What a waste of time.
The challenges offered by the challenge tower are occasionally fun, quirky or interesting. Most of the time they don't differ enough from a normal fighting round. Way too often the main objective is just to defeat an opponent in a fight, and that's it. Woah, the final hit will cause the loser to explode! How different and entertaining!
It's obvious the challenge tower is just filler content that was put in so the developers could point at the three-digit number of challenges and claim they have more content than they actually have.
